This is how I joined the Union

Now that my IMDb credit is added, I can finally post about how I became a SAG-AFTRA actress! It was on Monday August 14th when my phone rang and casting director Rich King asked me if I am available next week to shoot for Brad Pitt’s upcoming feature film…!

I found myself on set the next day, watching Brad Pitt (star actor and producer) filming one of his scenes while waiting to be interviewed –thank you Carri for all the support during the wait! After the scene was wrapped, I met with director James Gray (The Lost City of Z, The Immigrant) and director of photography Hoyte Van Hoytema (Dunkirk, Interstellar, Her) and was happy to hear that they would like me to participate in their upcoming Sci-Fi feature film ‘Ad Astra’.

Next week, on August 22nd, I was on set filming my own scene! Mr. Gray and Hoyte worked their magic and everybody was extremely happy at the end of that long day. I highly doubt that people who know me will be able to recognize me with all that make up on… I can’t reveal much at this point, but I can say that     I am ‘The Singing Face’ in the film.

It was an honor to be on set with these legendary actors and be introduced to a few of them. And that was the story of how I became a Union actress. Was that one of the most exciting days of my life so far? Hm. Let me think. YES, IT WAS!!! And, as Mr. Gray said, “Well, until next time!”
